The Bitterroot has fished really well the last couple weeks, but the lack of cloud cover this week has been challenging. Having a long dropper has been key. Perdigons, frenchies, big green machines, Macgruber nymphs, soft hackle P-tails, and two bit hookers have been working well. Mostly a mahogany, fall drake, hecuba, and baetis deal. Hoppers are still getting chowed too. You may have to experiment day to day to figure out which mayfly pattern they want the most, but more often than not, they're on the baetis and hecuba. The fall drakes and mahoganies are around in the afternoon as well. Get out and enjoy the sunshine!
