Hoot Owl Fishing Restriction from mile: 103.0 to 239.0 beginning August 2 are still in effect.

The Clark Fork has been fishing really well, especially since the clouds have showed up. Top to bottom, The Clark Fork has been a pretty good bet. In the morning, the fish have been moving out into the flat slicks looking for caddis and mayflies, while during mid day they have been piling into the riffles waiting for hoppers and other terestrials to float over. Tricos have been hitting the water around 10 am. For dries, use midge clusters, trico spinners, purple roosters, brindle chutes, never sink caddis, ant acids, and purple hoppers. For nymphs, use Pat's rubber legs, perdigons, prince nymphs, blowtorch jigs, frenchies, CDC pheasant tails, and TJ hookers.
