Dry fly fishing blackfoot river

This weather is spectacular and the fishing shouldn't be too bad either.  With a flow around 2400 cfs and great clarity and lot's of bugs, I feel like the rest of this fishing report is almost not needed.  Anyways though, For top water patterns, use a low riding skwala, like a Gould's half down or a flush floater. For the mayfly madness March Browns, use a standard parachute adams, purple haze and GT emerger. Underneath use Pheasant tails, Egg patterns, San Juan worms, Double beaded stones, Pat's rubber legs, Red fox squirrels, and hares ear nymphs. Streamers have been working well in the down time between hatches with flash fries, sparkle minnows, yellow yummies, sculpzillas, and mouthwashes. The streamers have been fishing best with short strips off the banks. Look for back and side channels away from the crowds and you should find some decent fishing today. Enjoy!
