Hoot Owl Fishing Restriction from mile: 0.0 to 83.0 beginning August 2
From the confluence with Clark Fork River upstream to the confluence of East Fork and West Fork Bitterroot River
A much needed cold front is settling in over The Root and it looks to be carrying some moisture. We'll see how much rain hits the ground, but fishing should get gooooooooood. Definitely have your mayfly box handy, along with a few hoppers. Few hecuba, tricos, and baetis are the name of the game. Cycle through hopper colors to keep you busy until the spinner fall. Conditions are changing quick, stay tuned....
