They reduced the amount of water coming out Painted Rocks Reservoir a couple days agon, so The Bitteroot has dropped in flows dramatically. Fishing has still been good, but be aware of the new flows before floating. It is mostly a mahogany, fall drake, and baetis deal, which is nice since it keeps the guesswork to a minimum. Tricos are around too. You may have to experiment day to day to figure out which mahogany pattern they want the most, but more often than not, they're on the mahoganies. Water walkers, stubby chubbies, hot spot para-wulffs, dancing caddis, chew toys, and your standard orange PMXs have worked well for searching patterns. Streamer fishing has really ramped up over the last couple days. Cream mini dungeons, olive/yellow zombie snacks, double fuegos, and black sculpzillas turned a bunch of fish for us.
