The air is getting warmer, the days are getting longer and in a few
more days, you're going to half to wake up a full hour earlier!!!! HA!
You can expect fish to start munching on the Bitterroot steadily in
the coming days. Here comes that awesome spring fishing you spent all
winter drooling over while watching re-runs of Breaking Bad. The
early spring capnias and nemouras are going to start popping soon,
and when they do, the fish are definitely going to be looking up for
them. Small dark stimulators, bug-meisters, and madam-xs' in sizes 16
and 14 will work for the small stones on top, while dark bodied micro
stones and double-beads will get gobbled underneath. All the usual
suspects will work as well, including pheasant tails, San Juans,
double beaded stones and streamers for the bigger fish. We're
right on the cusp - hold tight people. Stay tuned, ourregular fishing
reports begin on March 15th,
