The Blackfoot has really shifted into fall mode, with October caddis, mahoganies, and fall drakes making a appearance. Hoppers and ants are still turning fish, as well. It's been pretty chilly up The Blackfoot, so getting a later start has been the way to go. For dries use tricos, parachute pheasant tails, BWOs, neversink caddis, hoppers, orange PMXs, orange chew toys, October caddis, parachute adams, brindle chutes, pink hoppers, and purple roosters. For nymphs use Pat's rubber legs, purple princes, perdigons, CDC pheasant tails, big green machines, TJ hookers, October caddis pupae, and blowtorch jigs. Streamer fishing has started to pick up in a BIG way. Look for it to get even better as we roll through fall. Mojo minnows, sculpzillas, headbanger sculpins, dungeons, dirty hippies, barely legals, and sparkle minnows have been turning a lot of fish.
