Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/10
Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!Up up and away!

This week's winner of the two dozen free flies, just for having a Kingfisher sticker in his window, is a..... (drum roll)

Forest Green Toyota Tundra: with the last two digits of the license plate being... 09

Drive your rig down to the shop and pick up your bugs!  Thanks for being a Kingfisher customer.

The flow on the Blackfoot is around 2100 cfs at Bonner and the clarity is poor.  With the warmer days and nights we had combined with the rain from yesterday, the flows on the Blackfoot are taking off.  The river is by no means totally blown out, but the fish will be displaced from their usual holds.  You can expect to find the fish tight to the banks and in any back channels and side pockets you come across. Pheasant tails, Pat's rubber legs, fast water princes, regular princes, flashback copper johns, San Juan worms and egg patterns are all good bets underneath.  In the way of streamers, big dark colored articulated patterns fished right on the banks are an excellent choice too.

HATCHES: Midges, capnias,
PATTERNS: Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 12 or 14 squirrel tail nymphs. Size 16 or 18 para mayfly stuffADDITIONAL INFORMATION: You know we'll refill your Kingfisher label gink bottles for a buck dontcha?
