The Ice is officially coming off Browns Lake. Kingfisher employee Scott headed up on Easter Sunday and was able to land a handful of fish. He had to drag his boat over a couple hundred yards of ice to get to the west shore, which had the most open water. The boat launch should be much more open now, though bringing a boat is a good plan. Twitching leeches right off the bank worked well. Use sz. 08-14 olive, black, bloody black, and craw orange leeches. Also, putting a double leech rig under an indicator was really productive. Try tandem rigging a leech with a small nymph or egg off the back. For nymphs use scuds, zebra midges, copper johns, micro-san juans, eggs, and sow bugs. For leeches try pine squirrel zonkers, mohair leeches, Senyo's fusion leeches, yuk bugs, and wooly buggers.

Remember that the only legal access to Browns Lake

is at the FWP boat launch
