REPORTS: Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

This week's winner of the two dozen free flies, just for having a Kingfisher sticker in his window, is a..... (drum roll)

Black Suburban: with the last two digits of the license plate being... 90

Drive your rig down to the shop and pick up your bugs!  Thanks for being a Kingfisher customer.

The flow below Holter dam is 8300 cfs and has been so for the last three days. You can expect The Missouri to fish pretty decently this weekend as long as the wind cooperates. With the small window of dry fly fishing that starts mid afternoon, you’ll want to be tossing a size 18 parachute pattern or other midge on top. Other than that small window of dry action mid-day, the nymphing has been excellent. Small red and pink scuds, RS2′s, Ray-Charles, egg patterns and a red Amex will fish in spades for you underneath. Setting up a tandem nymph rig, and dropping two of the patterns above will definitely help your chances. If you’re looking to target the big fish today, throwing black, olive or brown streamer will wrangled some giants.

HATCHES: midges

FLIES: Griffith's gnats 16-20, lighting bugs, RS2, p-tails, scuds, Pink Amex, Pink Scuds, Glow BugsADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Probably one of the best river options in the state right now. Tailwater happiness!
