The creek is running just under 3 times the average volume of water for this time of year.  Fishing up here has been varying between fast and furiously average to spectacularly not too bad.  Mostly nymphing for success at this point with some widely scattered dry fly action on the warmer afternoons.  With the cfs hanging around the 750 to 800 level recently, wading is way more limited than you're used to this time of year and more probable that you'll end up swimming in NASTY cold water if you're not careful.

Red San Juans and pink egg patterns in tandem are still the go-to rig, but fish will also take a variety of bigger stonefly nymphs and the occasional attractor dry in the sun.

HATCHES: Midges, impatience

FLIES: Prince nymphs, tiny parachute adams, stonefly nymphs, slow moving streamers.
