Rock Creek Fishing Report - 3/27

Rock creek is seeing the same great conditions the rest of the rivers are with great clarity and extremely manageable flows.  The bugs are out in spades and the fish are looking up and chowing them.  The bugs on tap for the day are March browns and Skwalas on top. Tandem nymph rigs with a San Juan, egg pattern, pheasant tail, micro stone, double beaded stone, or a hares ear have been successful underneath. Stripping streamers through the deeper pools and runs with a sparkle minnow or standard bugger have been getting good chases too, colors have been a mixture of olive, tan, and black . Mid afternoon you should see some March browns and skwalas popping, for those guys, toss a Gould's half down, flush floater, carnage skwala, Parachute adams, GT emerger, purple haze, or parachute pheasant tail.

HATCHES: Midges, impatience

FLIES: Prince nymphs, tiny parachute adams, stonefly nymphs, slow moving streamers.
