Rock Creek is still dropping and fishing decently.  The weekend is looking pretty good except for the cold weather, but that's more of a comfort thing.  The flow at the bottom is dropping past 630cfs with good clarity.  The top water action has still been best in the late afternoon and warmer periods if at all.  Subsurface patterns have been far more consistently productive.  Your usual suspects have all been working well underneath with San Juan worms, Egg patterns, Micro stones, Prince nymphs, double beaded stones, hares ears, and pheasant tails.  For top water flies the purple haze and standard parachute adams have been tough to beat for the march browns.  For the skwalas, use a flush floater or carnage skwala for a good searching pattern.

HATCHES: Midges, impatience

FLIES: Prince nymphs, tiny parachute adams, stonefly nymphs, slow moving streamers.
