L-1

Rock Creek's top water action has been very productive lately.  Reports have been very consistent with March browns, grey drakes, and skwalas on top.  The flow at the bottom is creeping past 670cfs and the clarity is staying solid.  There should be a little more water coming, but nothing that will blow the river out for a while.  For the Grey drakes and March browns use a big parachute adams, purple haze, GT emergers, foam extended bodies, parachute pheasant tails, and Purple cripples.  The skwala action is still holding on with Gould's half downs and flush floaters working best.  If you're not seeing fish chowing on top use pheasant tails, hares ears, double beaded stones, egg patterns, Pat's rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, and San Juan worms underneath and in tandem for your best luck.  Stripping streamers through the deeper pools and runs with a sparkle minnow or standard bugger have been getting good chases too.  The colors have been a mixture of olive, tan, or black.
