stacy 2

Rock Creek is suppose to get some rain today, but it's suppose to clear up for the weekend. As mentioned in our other hatch reports, BWOs and fall drakes should be the ticket. The colder weather might put the fish down a little bit in the morning, but they will eventually wake up. Once it warms up, October caddis and hoppers are back in play. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, small chew toys, film critique BWOs, stubby chubbies, parachute adams, purple hazes, purple roosters, and tiltwing mahoganies. For sub surface patterns use big green machines, pheasant tails, Pat's rubber legs, perdigons, caddis pupae, green machines, and October caddis nymphs.

HATCHES: hoppers, mahoganies, BWOs, caddis, hecubas

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
